Victoria Baird, General Manager
Victoria is a graduate of Bournemouth University and has 15 years experience in people management, including ten years’ running her own business in the UK. Victoria has a proven track record in staff and logistical management.

She joined Island Oil & Gas Plc shortly after its relocation to Dublin and quickly became a vital member of the team and has been  key to the company development and speedy growth over the last two and a half years.

Alan Campbell, Commercial Manager
Alan is a business graduate with more fourteen years experience in banking, financing, investment relations, media, and the energy sector. He has raised finance for junior energy companies and has considerable experience in listing companies on the TSX Venture Exchange in Toronto.

Alan has also worked in Global Securities in Deutsche Bank in New York before returning to Ireland and working as a journalist. He has been working in commercial roles in the energy sector for the previous four years. Alan attained an MA in Project Finance and Venture Management at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, in 2007, where he was awarded a first class honour.

Dr Mahmoud Zizi, General Manager N.W. Africa
Dr Mahmoud Zizi graduated as a mining engineer from School of Mines of Rabat in 1980. He joined ONAREP, the oil state company of Morocco, in 1980 and worked as a field geologist until 1990. He got his PhD in structural geology in1996 from Rice University, Houston.

In 2000, he was appointed by ONHYM as coordinator of the Shell, Kerr Mac Gee and Energy Africa offshore projects. Dr Zizi was a co-leader of AAPG field trips (jointly with Colorado School of Mines) in the Atlas Mountains  for many years.

In 2006, he was appointed Manager of Negotiations and Petroleum Agreements at the Moroccan oil state company and in 2007, Dr Zizi joined Island Oil & Gas Plc in charge of the development of the NW Africa portfolio.

Dr René Kuijper, Consultant Project Advisor
René Paul Kuijper is a geologist with an MSc in petrology and mineralogy and a PhD in isotope geology in the State University at Leiden, the Netherlands. He has over 28 years’ experience in the international oil and gas industry. Having served as managing director of Holland Sea Search until 1990, he has worked as an independent consultant since, mainly in representative and managerial positions.

Apart from being a director of the Dutch subsidiaries of Island Oil & Gas, he is director of the Dutch subsidiaries of Talisman Energy Inc. He has been involved in exploration, development and production activities in the Netherlands and abroad and thus gained considerable expertise in economics, finance and fiscal systems.

Bob Graham, Geophysical Manager
Bob Graham has 30+ years worldwide experience in exploration, development and new ventures Geology and Geophysics with emphasis on the Western United States, the North Sea, North Africa, West Africa and South America. Bob was a team member for oil and gas discoveries in the North Sea, the Celtic Sea, Tunisia and Peru. Prior to joining Island Oil & Gas in 2007, Bob provided independent geophysical consulting services to numerous international oil and gas companies, was the International Chief Geophysicist for Pluspetrol International, Inc. and spent nearly 12 years as a Senior Geophysicist for Marathon Oil.

Bob earned a B.Sc. degree in Geology from the University of Miami (Fla) and completed graduate work in Geology and Geophysics at The Ohio State University and the University of Texas-El Paso.

Jeremy Deeley, General Counsel
Jeremy Deeley qualified as a barrister in 1980 and after practising at the Bar, moved into industry and commerce in late 1983. He has over 20 years' experience in all aspects of the domestic and international oil and gas industries, including within Ireland, the UKCS and internationally.

Previously the Managing Counsel for Mobil UK, he has also worked at senior level for Consolidated Gold Fields, Cluff, Sun, Enterprise Oil, and Shell. Since 2003 he has been a consultant in the London energy practice of Cameron McKenna, solicitors, engaged in various major international E&P and LNG projects and M&A transactions. He has acted as General Counsel of Island since summer 2007. 

Ervin Lula, Exploration Manager (Albania)
Ervin Lula graduated as a geologist from the Polytechnic University of Tirana with several years experience in oil and gas exploration. He spent two years as a researcher at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium concentrating on the study of carbonate reservoirs. Mr. Lula worked for OMV Albania for four years where he was involved in seismic acquisition and drilling projects. He joined Island when they began operations in Albania is currently appointed as Exploration Manager for all Albania activities.
